In the past, consumer complaints about wireless charging mainly focused on slow charging speed, excessive heat, and poor alignment. These issues have been significantly improved in Qi2.2. From a consumer trend perspective, wireless charging is no longer just a “novelty” feature, but is gradually becoming a basic expectation for high-end devices.
2. Overview of Qi2.2 Standard Qi2.2 is the latest standard released by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), an upgrade from Qi2. It integrates the magnetic alignment advantages of Apple’s MagSafe, while increasing the standard power limit from 15W to 25W.

Conclusion / Outlook Qi2.2 marks an important evolution of the wireless charging standard, pushing wireless charging toward a new stage of being fast enough, safe and reliable, and offering consistent experiences. In the next 1–2 years, Qi2.2 is expected to gradually expand from flagship devices into the mid-range market. As more brands adopt the technology, costs will come down, enabling widespread adoption.
