Dear LinkedIn Community, ☺️

🖌️ Today I would like to share with you the the process of soldering battery to PCB:

1️⃣ *Pre-apply flux:
Apply a small amount of solder paste (flux) to the exposed part of the battery lead-out electrode or lead and the PCB pad to help soldering.

2️⃣ *Pre-tinning:
1. Heat the electric soldering iron to an appropriate temperature (about 300°C).
2. Heat the battery lead-out electrode (or lead) and the PCB pad with an electric soldering iron, and coat them with solder wire at the same time so that they are evenly covered with a layer of solder. This step is called pre-tinning and helps with better soldering.

3️⃣ *Soldering battery to PCB:
1. Position adjustment: Place the pre-tinned battery lead-out electrode (or lead) on the pre-tinned PCB pad.
2. Soldering: Use a heated electric soldering iron to contact the battery lead-out electrode (or lead) and the PCB pad at the same time, heat quickly to melt the solder, and firmly solder the battery lead-out electrode (or lead) to the PCB pad.
3. Remove the electric soldering iron: After the solder is completely melted, quickly remove the electric soldering iron, keep the connection point still, and wait for the solder to cool and solidify.

*Things to note:
1. Avoid overheating: The welding time should not be too long to avoid high temperature damage to the battery and the internal structure of the PCB. The operation time of each welding point should generally not exceed 3 seconds.
2. Firm welding: Make sure the welding point is firm, and there is no looseness or cold soldering between the battery lead-out electrode (or lead) and the PCB pad.

4️⃣ *Insulation treatment: You can wrap the welding point and the exposed part with high-temperature insulating tape to ensure complete insulation.

5️⃣ *Inspection and testing:
1. Appearance inspection: Check the appearance of the welding point to ensure that the welding point is smooth and firm, without obvious solder balls or excessive solder accumulation.
2. Functional test: Test the battery voltage to ensure that the welding process has no abnormal effect on the battery voltage.
Test the PCB function to ensure that the battery and PCB are connected normally and the circuit works normally.
